After more than a year of development, we have decided to revamp SkillGPT. We are now JobTatkal! We have changed our name, design, and logo. Our website has changed from www.skillgpt.ai to www.jobtatkal.com.

Let’s first delve into the story of SkillGPT to learn “why JobTatkal?”
Why SkillGPT?
We chose the name SkillGPT to highlight how we unleash AI and use cutting-edge GPT technology for efficient matchmaking between job seekers and job recruiters.
Our use of GPT technology also acts as a point of differentiation for brand building. We are leveraging GPT in a way none of our competitors are doing. GPT had to constitute our name!
However, as we progressed, SkillGPT became a limitation and failed to speak for the purpose we aimed to serve.
Why we renamed SkillGPT to JobTatkal?
Our vision is so much more than just using GPT for our jobsite.
We realised we were unable to cater the best of all features with GPT alone. We incorporated other AI models to enrich our features. Our name embodied only one of the many AI models we were leveraging. But more than anything else, we came across as a portal centered on the technology we employed rather than the people we intended to serve.
What does JobTatkal stand for?

Our vision is clearer than ever. We want to make finding jobs in India hassle-free.
JobTatkal puts people over technology. We realize that the AI models we employ don’t mean as much to job seekers as our results do. We therefore take pride in being a result-oriented job portal.
The name resonates with most Indians and clearly aligns with our motto—to help job seekers find meaningful work opportunities at the earliest possible time.
Beyond “Skill” and “GPT”
Thanks to ChatGPT, we got substantial traction and relatability from our users. But it was a double edged sword, becoming our source of limitation.
As a job portal fulfilling the talent needs of recruiters and making the job search process easier for job seekers, “SkillGPT” could potentially mislead audiences engaging for the first time as a portal focused solely on “skill” development rather than job search.

JobTatkal is a name that cherishes India.
The word Tatkal is familiar and common amongst Indians since it is popularly used to book railway tickets in the last hours before travel. We realized the urgency of seeking jobs is not very different.
“Tatkal” signifies the urgency of job search and thereby focuses on the key dynamic of fast-paced, evolving employment needs in India.
The pace of delivery for products and services is changing from days to minutes; why should job seeking be any different? The process should be efficient but also expedited (like tatkal jobs), and we make it a reality.
The way ahead with JobTatkal
While SkillGPT provided a range of features, including AI-powered CV parsing for job seekers and AI-assisted job description creation for recruiters, JobTatkal is taking a leap.
JobTatkal has launched its premium version for as low as 499/month for job seekers and 4,999/month for job recruiters, with additional benefits on annual plans.
