Purpose and Overview

The purpose of this job description is to attract highly qualified candidates for the position of Computer Operator at our growing company. As a Computer Operator, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks. They will be responsible for monitoring and controlling computer systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring data security and integrity.

The Computer Operator will work closely with our IT team to ensure the efficient and effective use of computer resources. They will also collaborate with other departments to understand their computer-related needs and provide technical support and assistance as required. Responsibilities

• Monitor and control computer systems and networks to ensure their optimal performance
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolution
• Ensure data security and integrity by implementing and maintaining appropriate backup and recovery procedures
• Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement system improvements and upgrades
• Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as required
• Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as installing updates and patches
• Monitor system performance and generate reports on system usage and performance metrics
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in computer technology

Requirements

• Graduate with a degree in a relevant field
• Experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar role is preferred
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and hardware
• Proficiency in using Google Search Console and other relevant software
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work on-site as required
