Job description

Purpose and Overview

The purpose of posting this job description is to find a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Embedded Team Lead AOSP in our growing company. As an Embedded Team Lead AOSP, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of embedded software developers and contributing their expertise and passion to our projects. This role requires strong technical skills in Android application development, Android OS, Board Support Package (BSP), Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), Linux-based operating systems, and proficiency in C/C++ and/or Java programming. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in a high-tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of embedded software developers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and develop embedded software solutions.
  • Design, develop, and debug Android applications and software components for embedded systems.
  • Contribute to the development of Board Support Packages (BSP) and Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL) for Android-based devices.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards, software development best practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components.
  • Develop and maintain device drivers for various hardware peripherals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in embedded software development and Android OS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information and Communication Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in a high-tech environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Android application development and Android OS.
  • Experience with Board Support Package (BSP) and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Java programming.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems.
  • Expertise in embedded software development and debugging.
  • Knowledge of AOSP (Android Open Source Project) and Android development tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies and version control systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
