Sr. Test Engineer

Purpose and Overview

The purpose of this job description is to attract highly qualified candidates for the position of Sr. Test Engineer at our growing company. As a Sr. Test Engineer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. They will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products
• Identify and report bugs and issues, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
• Perform functional testing, manual testing, performance testing, regression testing, and system testing
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for improvement
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior test engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree in any field
• 5-7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on functional testing, manual testing, performance testing, regression testing, and system testing
• Strong knowledge of test engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience with test case design, test execution, and defect tracking
• SOC Analyst Cyber Security On SIEM
• Proficiency in using test management tools and bug tracking systems
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
