Accountant

Purpose and Overview

The purpose of this job description is to attract highly qualified accountants who can contribute their expertise and passion to our growing company. As an accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. They will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making and drive the company's success.

As a full-time position, the accountant will be expected to work on-site at our location in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The preferred candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting and possess a strong understanding of financial principles and practices. They should also have proficiency in using software such as Selenium and hold a UG/PG degree in accounting or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies
• Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
• Provide support during external audits and examinations

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting
• Proficiency in using Selenium software
• UG/PG degree in accounting or a related field
• Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
